  Encyclopaedia Britannica’s latest product introduction for the World Wide Web is BIG! The Britannica Internet Guide is a navigation service that classifies, rates, and reviews more than 65,000 Web sites. Britannica editors search the Web to identify quality Web resources, which are clearly and concisely described, rated according to consistent standards and indexed for superior retrieval. Advanced search and retrieval technology enables users to quickly locate relevant and appropriate sites. The extensive and detailed outline efficiently organizes thousands of topics for you. It’s Web surfing with a road map!

• Britannica CD

We’ve married classical knowledge with user-friendly technology to create the definitive CD-ROM encyclopedia, featuring the entire text of our print set, plus thousands of images. Just type in a question like "Where do asteroids come from?" and the powerful search engine returns a list of all relevant articles. Click on any listing and you are immediately transported to that article. Jump from article to article by clicking on highlighted cross-references. You can cut, paste, copy, save and print any article you like. We’ve even included the complete Merriam-Webster Collegiate Dictionary and Nations of the World (comprehensive data for 191 countries including colored flags, maps and national statistics). When it comes to a CD-ROM encyclopedia, Britannica sets the standard.
